Welcome to Daddy’s Fish Bowl!!! I know, I know, the first thing that pops in your head is: where are the fish?  Well I’ve got a little secret for you; this site has nothing to do with fish or the bowls they live in.  So why is it called Daddy’s Fish Bowl you may ask.  That answer is simple, this site allows you to witness the many antics involved with being a dad, so you’ll be able to see our lives unfold just as you would a fish in a fishbowl. Get it? Clever huh? Yeah I thought so too.

At Daddy’s Fish Bowl you’ll be exposed to the daily experiences of my family, which include funny tales about the kids, life lessons, parenting advise (I received my accreditations from “Real Dads Institute”), and anything else I decide to throw at you.  As an added treat on Tuesdays and Thursdays the kids will review one of their favorite (or not so favorite) toys so be sure to check that out.

If you’re a parent be sure to stop by often, I’ve found that listening to the crazy things that occur to other families can be used as a sanity check.  You can share your thoughts, give your own advice, or scold me for doing something wrong.  For my readers who aren’t yet parents, I encourage you to stop by often as well.  The site will do one of two things for you: A) Make you fall in love with the thought of being a parent and give you that extra push you need to start your own family (highly doubt it!!!) or B) Serve as a secondary form of birth control, reminding you everyday why it’s important to strap up, because not everyone is ready to handle the zaniness of being a dad

Well, let me introduce you to the lovely members of my family.  I think we’ll go in order from youngest to oldest.

Keith III (Tre) is the youngest member of the family. He’s 19 months (2007) and quite the handful.  He’s learning at such an extraordinary pace that it’s hard to keep up at times.  He definitely takes after his father as he always feels the need to be the center of attention.  I mean seriously, if someone just gave a speech and the crowd began to clap, this kid would stand up, smile and all but take a bow in appreciate of the claps that are directed towards HIM.  He’s a daredevil who isn’t afraid of anything; this scares me at times, but makes me proud as well.  But most of all, he’s a momma’s boy through and through.

Tyrone (Ty) is the oldest child, at 4 yrs old (2004) he’s a very vibrant character.  Full of affection and energy, the word tired is not in this kid’s vocabulary.  Playing is his favorite thing to do and at this point in his life it’s all that matters.  This keeps me very busy, as partaking in the same activity too many times is never an option.  Just like his mom, he’s very sensitive and passionate, which means he’s loads of fun but also hard to read at times.  Talking to him sometimes feels as though you’re talking to an adult, it’s exciting and scary at the same time (how does he know this stuff often pops in my head).  This little guy is quick to run to me if there’s a problem, which balances out quite well when compared to Momma Boy Tre (bitter, you bet I am).

Fenessa (Fefe) Wait. Before I start, yes its spelled with an F and no I did not spell my own wife’s name wrong. Continuing on… Fefe is the love of my life, my other half, my soul mate (I was paid to write that last sentence).   This woman has literally changed my life, I’m not sure where I would be without her and for that I am forever grateful.  She’s beautiful, intelligent, and funny to say the least, but more importantly she (willfully) puts up with me on a daily basis.  I think this act alone deserves a Nobel Peace Prize, but the good folks on the review board  denied the application I sent in.  She is a stay at home Mom (or homemaker for you new age women) and I tell her everyday that I’m glad she took the job, because if the roles were reversed I’d of quit by now.

Lastly, the old fart of the family, myself. Hmmm, what can I say about me? I’m great, I’m talented, I’m the best thing since sliced bread!!! Oh wait, we’re talking about me here aren’t we? I got confused and thought we were talking about one of the Mikes (Tyson, Jordan, Jackson).  But me, I’m just a regular guy. I put my family first and they are the most important thing to me.  By day I’m a Packaging Scientist, by night I’m super Dad!!!

Oh yeah, the last member of our family is Tank the dog.  He’s a 2yr old Dachshund, who adds another layer of fun and complexity to our lives.

Well, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading about this site and my family. Please stop by often and if you enjoy yourself tell friends, lots of them!!!
