You Can Never Have Too Much Protection

You Can Never Have Too Much Protection

The photo that you see above is not a shot taken for a Right Guard magazine advertisement; it’s not even promotional material to introduce their new line of deodorant and antiperspirants.  So what is it? It’s a scene from my bathroom, a scene depicting a very serious issue that I have been dealing with for quite some time.  An issue that has plagued me so much that I’ve decided to reach out to you, the reader for help and support.  Hopefully, when I reveal my troubling problem, someone out there will be able to relate and offer assistance to help me overcome.  Basically people, I just don’t want to be alone in this any longer.

So what exactly is this problem that plagues my dreams, and makes me hang my head in shame? I’ll tell you, but brace yourselves, better yet, make sure you’re sitting down.  Okay, now that I’ve prepped you, here it goes: I have the hardest time remembering the brand of deodorant I use.  Have you stopped laughing yet? If not, take more time if needed, so that we can move on and continue this serious discussion and get me the help that I so desperately desire.

Maybe, I should explain the issue a bit further in order for you guys to take me seriously.  The fact that I can never remember my preferred choice of deodorant means that I basically end up picking blindly out of a hat when I’m in the personal hygiene aisle searching for a new stick.  This leads to a few days of reliving those old “Sure Deodorant” commercials (See Below).  I never know how effective my new choice will be, so I walk around paranoid, afraid to raise my hand to answer questions, or sit too close to colleagues at lunch.  These precautions are not unwarranted; I’m not sure if you’re aware, but not all deodorant is created equal, and because of this fact I’ve found myself on the smelling end of the stick a few times.  You see this is why it is imperative that we find a solution to this problem; no one wants a smelly blogger right?

I know you’re thinking, “Keith, how difficult is it to remember what deodorant to buy?” Well it is damn hard, let me explain why.  Putting on deodorant isn’t the most exciting task that we’re faced with completing in the morning, so I don’t pay much attention to the mundane exercise.  As I’m usually half sleep whenever I use it, I barely pay any attention to the package. Now I’m not sure about you, but a stick of deodorant lasts me a few months easily.  So once you spend a few months using a product that you never look at, it can be quite a daunting task to gain a mental picture of the correct brand.  To make matters worse, the deodorant companies think its necessary to change the “look” of their product every few months, so it’s nearly impossible to get the same exact product.  So you see, I’m at a loss, maybe I’m destined to play Deodorant Russian Roulette for the rest of my life.  There has to be others out there like me, please be brave, speak up, together we can beat this thing and never worry about being “unsure” again!!!!

LOL, I remember when you had me to take a picture of your deodorant and send it to you so you could make sure you bought the right one!!! You have about 5 deodorants in your drawer that you do not use, lol.
