Hello all, it’s that time again. In the spirit of Black Friday coming up, this weeks posts will be dedicated to holiday gift guides.  There will be a separate guide for toddlers, kids and gadgets (courtesy of  The Gallant).  The gift guides will feature some items that the boys already own, as well as items that we plan to purchase for them this Christmas.  The items are in no special order, they are all gifts that I find interesting and think the kids will enjoy playing with.  Please feel free to add items to the list in the comment section, or if you already own a particular item, share your experience with it.  I hope you enjoy, talk to you soon.

Pop On Pals Amusement Park  - I’ve heard a ton of great things about this toy.  It inspires creativity and for some reason kids seem to never get tired of playing with it.  There are several playsets that can be added on to ”keep the party going” as well.  The toys are designed especially for little hands and help to aid in the improvement of fine motor skills. Seems like a winner to me.

Thomas The Train Wooden Train Set – Little boys LOVE trains, I mean really love them, well at least in my house they do.  We’ve found the wooden train sets to be great for kids this age.  The tracks are simple to lay down and don’t get too complicated.  The train cars connect via magnets for easy snap and go play.  Playtime is all manual with the wooden trainset, which again helps out with those fine motor skills for your toddler.

Leapfrog My Own Leaptop - What child doesn’t love to imitate their parents?  They all do, they love pretending to do grown up things.  With this children’s laptop they can pretend no more.  It comes equipped with 6 learning stations, the ability to download 20 songs for a personal playlist and customizable emails. Emails for toddlers? Not so sure about that, but sounds like it could be neat.

Power Wheels - Not ready to hand the keys to the car over just yet?  Well let the little ones get some practice in early with one of the many Power Wheels replicas out there.  They’ll be driving around, feeling the breeze in their hair.  Just be careful, most toddlers aren’t very good drivers, so pedestrians beware!

Playskool Alphie - Another learning device hear that doubles as a toy.  Sneaky little bastards we parents are!!!! This one teaches letters, numbers, colors, and all of those other preschool prerequisites.  It’s a bit different because the learning is coming in the from a robot teacher instead of a computer/device.  It’s a bit of variety that should spice things up for the little kiddos.

Rumbling Chuck - Rumbling Chuck is just plain cool!!! He’s a dump truck with a personality, who wouldn’t love that!!! This truck talks, sings, and well rumbles.  With touch and sound sensors the fun never stops.  Load up the truck bed and Chuck will let you know when he’s ready to haul it away.

Sing A Ma Jigs - They look weird, they speak their own language, and they interact with each other.  Sounds like an alien invasion huh?  Well don’t run for cover just yet, Sing A Ma Jigs will having you smiling and laughing instead of crying and cowering.  They come with 3 play modes (chatter, singing, harmonizing) and the fun only increases with the more you collect as they specialize in harmonization.

Dance Star Mickey - Although it doesn’t look much like Mickey, this dancing machine does actually have some cool moves.  He dances to the beat of 6 different songs and is sure to get your child up and moving around to join in on the fun.  Mickey talks and also comes equipt with two interactive games.

Smart Cycle Racer - Exercise and learning all in one? It’s a parent’s dream right.  With this toy, kids pedal their way to knowledge.  They’ll love riding the stationary bike and will enjoy the fun learning games that come along with it.  The best part is that there will be so much excitement going on that your little one won’t even realize they’re being taught.

Play Doh - Is there even a need for any explanation here? Play Doh is an all time favorite for children of all ages.  The fun and creativity that can be enjoyed is endless. The clean up can be endless as well, but we’ll do anything for our kids right?
